Middlefield, OH—Kim Richards teaches Art to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Cardinal Middle School in Geauga County. Richards is the recipient of the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher of the Month Award for the month of March. Richards represents the Akron/Canton area.

Richards is described by Melisa Cardinal (Reading Teacher) as “an excellent motivator to her students.” She makes herself available to students outside of the classroom. In the past she has helped with the establishment of “Power Place”, a place where students can receive extra help in any subject. Richards was honored as a National Board Certified Teacher in Art. She has been acknowledged by the Board of Education as a “Teacher of the Year”.

It is with no surprise that Richards was named Teacher Of The Month by the Ohio Lottery. For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Richards will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, a merchandise prize pack from the team, recognition at the event, and an assortment of Ohio Lottery Partners in Education merchandise.
