5th grade Math/Science Teacher is honored by the Ohio Lottery
MIAMISBURG Neil Manning is a Math and Science teacher at C.F. Holliday Elementary School. Manning recently was named Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery. He represents the Dayton area as a recipient of the award.
He is described as having “superb qualifications”. He is dedicated to students and is a strong communicator who keeps parents up to date regarding their child’s progress in the classroom. A counselor who works closely with Manning, Nita Renfrow, says that Manning is “positive, upbeat and approachable.” His “can do” attitude inspires both students and parents. He is a leader and also a volunteer with Camp Kern and summer camp programs.
“Mr. Manning has the ability to challenge students to grow and think at their own level, he has the ability to meet the child at the child’s level and draws them out to be the very best they can be,” says Renfrow. His dedication to both students and education come straight from his heart.
It is no surprise that Manning’s strong commitment to teaching and education have enabled him to be named an Ohio Lottery Teacher of the Month. For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Manning will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Reds’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more
