Fourth grade teacher is recognized by the Ohio Lottery

BAY VILLAGE - Chris Dlugosz is a fourth grade teacher at Westerly Elementary School located in Cuyahoga County. Dlugosz was recently named a Teacher of the Month for the month of January. He represents the Cleveland area.

Dlugosz is described as an excellent teacher with a well deserved reputation among parents and students. The experience that students have in Dlugosz’s classroom is one they love and treasure. His classroom is run with structure and he has high expectations from students concerning their work and behavior. They are rewarded for rising up to these high expectations.

Weekly auctions are held using auction dollars that the children earn through their work, behavior and good citizenship shown. He encourages students to read and make a goal for the quarter by hosting a “Rock Party.” He is described as dedicated and observant of all of his students’ needs.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Dlugosz will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
