Librarian/media specialist is honored by the Ohio Lottery
JEFFERSONTerry Furman is a librarian/media specialist at Jefferson Area High School. He was recently honored by the Ohio Lottery as a Teacher of the Month for the month of February.
Furman handles a multitude of responsibilities with great efficiency and care. He enjoys the students and encourages them to read books they enjoy. He is happy to help with computers, research papers and designing PowerPoint presentations when needed. He is also responsible for writing grants to obtain library materials for the school. “He obviously wears many hats as our media specialist and they all look great on him,” says Danielle Jackson, a teacher in the district.
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Furman will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to the Academic All Star links on this web site's home page.
