CANTON - Ora Strain was recently named a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery for the month of February. She represents the Akron-Canton area.

Strain is a seventh-grade teacher at Hartford Middle School. She is described by her peers as dedicated and determined to do what is best for her students. “She is a hard worker and is always ready to meet any challenge. She stays after school to help with the after-school athletic program. She is always giving of her time and attention, staying after school to help any students who need her,” says School Counselor, Michelle Gump-Wilson.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Strain will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
