Teacher of language arts is honored by the Ohio Lottery
COSHOCTON - Kirsten McPeck recently was acknowledged as a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery through its Partners in Education Program. She represents the Columbus area for the month of February.
McPeck is a fourth-grade teacher at Keene Elementary in Coshocton County. She is described by Principal Jerry Olinger as an outstanding teacher and leader. She is able to work collaboratively with her peers and is said to have “outstanding vision” when it comes to educating the youth of today.
Principal Olinger says, “I have nominated Mrs. McPeck based on her commitment to excellence for her students everyday. As her principal, I know that when I walk in her classroom I will see students engaged in quality learning activities. She is tireless in searching for different ways to reach all learners.” McPeck is creative and shows talent in finding unique ways to teach her students.
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, McPeck will receive four tickets to a Columbus Blue Jackets’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
