St. Mark Catholic School teacher is named Teacher of the Month
AVON LAKE - Jeanette Werner was recently named a Teacher of the Month by the Ohio Lottery. She represents the Cleveland area for the month of December. Werner currently teaches at St. Mark Catholic School in Cleveland. She teaches 7th & 8th grade English at the school.
“Mrs. Werner shows excellence in the classroom everyday,” says Dr. Marilyn Kurnath, principal at the school. She is described by Dr. Kurnath as kind, caring professional and understanding. Werner has done many things at St. Mark Catholic School outside of the classroom. She started a Prayer Club for grades 6, 7 and 8 that is very well attended. She also started the Drama Club which has put on a few productions for the community. Werner helped start the Future Catholic Teachers Club for the Diocese of Cleveland.
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Werner received four tickets to a Cleveland Browns game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
