STRUTHERS - Heather Sebest, a Kindergarten teacher, at Struthers Elementary was recently recognized as the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher of the Month.  She represents the Youngstown area for the month of December.

Sebest incorporates “best practices” in all of her lessons.  She includes stations and learning centers in her classroom in which students enjoy engaging in daily.  She holds high expectations for herself and in turn challenges her students on a daily basis.  She serves on many committees in the building. Sebest and her kindergarten team are highly regarded throughout the country.  She has been asked and has presented her work in Math Investigations both countywide and locally.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Sebest will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
