Huron, OH... Elizabeth Schwartz has been an educator for nine years.  She currently is a Special Education Resource Teacher for students in grades  5 and 6.  “She strives to bring out the very best in performance in each one while maintaining  a calm, structured, and welcoming classroom.  Excellence in student achievement is a daily goal with her students,” says Barry Kaufman, a fellow colleague of Schwartz.

Schwartz also leads the school’s Character Education Committee.  This develops students into positive thinking and acting individuals.  Technology is a vital part of her classroom.  She co-authored a grant to purchase a “Smart Board”.  This allows student interaction through a hands-on approach.  Kaufman comments that “We are fortunate to have her in our district!”.

Schwartz is recognized as the Lorain area’s Teacher of the Month by the Ohio State Lottery.  For being recognized as Teacher Of The Month, Schwartz will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the game, and a merchandise prize pack.  She will also receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
