Aurora... Trudy Gordin, First Grade Teacher at Craddock Elementary, recently received recognition as the Ohio State Lottery’s December Teacher of the Month. Gordin represents the Akron/Canton area.

Gordin is described by her colleague, Tami Mazella, as an inspiration. “Trudy takes her job very seriously and constantly goes above and beyond what is expected of her. One particular passion of hers is to create a community within her classroom where the students learn about citizenship and all that encompasses that area. She puts great emphasis on such assets as respect, responsibility, diversity, acceptance, and challenges that we all encounter. The students feel accepted, affirmed, and needed in classroom.”

For being recognized as the Ohio State Lottery’s Teacher of the Month, Gordin will receive four tickets to an upcoming Lake Erie Monster’s game, recognition at the event, and a merchandise prize pack. Gordin will also receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
