Special Education Teacher Receives Recognition
Boardman... “Mrs. Foster has the ability on a daily basis to motivate, challenge, and encourage her students to advance past their academic and social expectations.” Dr. Robert Walls, principal at Campbell Elementary School, describes Lisa Foster (3rd and 4th grade Special Education Teacher) as “a tremendous team player who clearly demonstrates outstanding teamwork skills in working with others.”
Foster has passed the year long National Board Certified Teacher exam. This is a process that Walls points out puts her among Ohio’s elite teachers. She is systematic in her approach to conquering intellectual and personal challenges. Walls comments that Foster is, “a professional staff member with compassion, enthusiasm, intellectual intensity and positive character.” Walls finds her to be an inspiration for those who come into contact with her.
It is no wonder that Foster is the Ohio State Lottery’s Teacher of the Month. Foster represents the Youngstown area. She will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Browns’ game, a merchandise prize pack, and recognition at the event. She will also receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
The Ohio State Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
