CANTON - Toriano Jones is a teacher at Hartford Middle School located in Stark County. He was recently acknowledged as an Ohio Lottery Teacher of the Month for the month of April. He represents the Akron-Canton area. Jones currently teaches 7-8th-grade students.

“Toriano is a very hardworking individual. He gives one hundred percent towards whatever he is doing. He arrives at school early and stays well into the evening. The students respect him and look up to him as a role model,” says School Counselor Michelle Gump-Wilson. Jones coaches several sports at the school and is willing to help with any project. It is obvious to his colleagues that he enjoys his job and the students.

For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Jones will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
