Canton... Deb Herold is a 4th grade teacher at Madge Youtz Elementary. Herold was recently named Teacher of the Month by The Ohio Lottery. Herold represents the Akron/Canton area.

Herold “believes that every student deserves a chance to become a better person and that every year is a new opportunity to prove that they can do better,” says Lisa Crumbley a fellow coworker of Herold. She is dedicated to the success of her students, the staff, and school community. She expects hard work and improvement from her students. She is able to draw skills and talents from difficult students that others cannot uncover.

Herold is passionate about her career and her students’ success. It is no surprise that Herold is the Teacher of the Month for The Ohio Lottery. She will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from The Ohio Lottery.

The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year.
