North Ridgeville... Georgann Blair is a teacher At North Ridgeville Middle and High School. For the last fourteen years, she has been an extremely dedicated visual art educator. She recently earned the Ohio Art Education Association Secondary Division Award. She has also successfully mentored four of the district’s incoming teachers. She is an active member of the High School’s Universal Design for Learning Team.

Blair is flexible and is constantly looking for new ideas for grants to help fund her projects in the art classroom. “Georgann’s interest in students goes beyond the classroom. She has been the co director of the Drama Club, volunteer advisor for the ninth grade Academic Challenge Team, and has established and maintained a chapter of Ohio Future Educators of America,” says Principal Patricia Bahr.

Blair was recently recognized as April’s Teacher of the Month. She represents the Lorain area. Blair will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from The Ohio Lottery.

The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year.
