Student attending The Knight Academy is honored
by the Ohio Lottery
TOLEDO - Zachary Poolos is a 7th grade student at The Knight Academy located in Lucas County. He was recently honored by the Ohio Lottery as an Academic All Star for the month of October. He represents the Toledo area.
Poolos has served as a member of the student leadership team and has helped to develop school rules and policies for the handbook. “In the classroom, teachers always utilize Zach as a peer tutor. He assists our needy students, and helps them learn some difficult and important strategies to help them get better grades,” says Paul Raczkowski, Dean of Students. Poolos is said to be a role model for all students, able to turn work in on time, dependable and trustworthy.
Poolos participates in cross country, hockey and lacrosse. He also referees youth hockey and helps students who are younger learn the sport of hockey at the recreation center. It is no surprise that with excellent grades and leadership skills that Poolos is recognized as an Ohio Lottery Academic All Star. He certainly does shine at The Knight Academy.
For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Poolos will receive four tickets to a Toledo Walleye’s game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
