North Ridgeville High School student is honored
NORTH RIDGEVILLE - Justine Keenan is a 12th grade student at North Ridgeville High School. Keenan was recently named an Academic All Star for the month of October by the Ohio Lottery. Keenan represents the Lorain area.
According to Principal Patricia Bahr, Keenan holds many leadership positions. She is currently the President of Rotary Interact and is the President and co -founder of the Junior Statesman of America. She is the Secretary of the French Club and is the section leader for the football rangerettes. She is the only student that sits on the Community Foundation of the Lorain County Youth Fund.
Keenan is the co- founder of Earth Week and has influenced the school to recycle plastic bottles. She has made the level of National Merit Semifinalist. She was a volunteer in a foreign country this summer and enjoys helping others through the AMIGOS organization where she helped out in Nicaragua.
For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Keenan will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
