Seventh grader receives recognition from the Lottery
TROTWOOD - Tonisha Wimberly is a 7th grade student at Trotwood Madison Middle School who recently was recognized as the Ohio Lottery’s Academic All Star for the Dayton area for the month of October. She has improved her grade point average and holds a perfect attendance record. She completes monthly community service projects.
Wimberly is described as loveable, transformed, motivated and focused. She has improved both academically and behaviorally in the classroom. She has made her teachers proud and has challenged herself to rise to the occasion and form a new attitude toward school and herself. Her self esteem has improved by being a peer mentor to others. Wimberly’s “I think I can” attitude has helped her make measurable strides both in and out of the classroom.
For being named an Academic All Star, Wimberly will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Bengals’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
