CINCINNATI - Machelle Stone is a 9th grader at Pace High School in Cincinnati. She recently received recognition from the Ohio Lottery asshe was named an Academic All Star for the month of October.

Stone is separated from her peers because of her strong determination to do well in school. She is focused on doing what it takes to graduate. There are days that Stone takes up to 3 buses to get to and from school. She is in her teacher’s room first thing working on unit assignments on the computer. She has an attitude of a never “give up” spirit.

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Stone will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Bengals’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
