SULLIVAN - Elizabeth Ulferts is an 8th grade student at Black River Middle School located in Medina County. She was recently named an Ohio Lottery Academic All Star for the month of November. She represents the Lorain area.

Ulferts is described as hard working and responsible. She has a positive attitude and likes to assist other classmates with solving their problems. Ulferts is a member of the middle school band and the community twirling team . She exhibits great school pride and spirit. She created a donation program at a local business to help support the family of a fellow classmate who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Ulferts will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
