Xenia High School student receives recognition
XENIA - William Jackson is a 12th grade student at Xenia High School. He recently was named an Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery during the month of November. He represents the Dayton area.
Jackson is described as a wonderful role model for the younger students in the school. He participates in two varsity sports and is able to maintain a 3.28 grade point average. He is a member of student council. He goes out of his way for others and works with junior high athletes to teach them how to safely lift weights. He also helps with the levy campaign by passing out fliers and distributing signs.
“Will has an ‘I can’ attitude. We are in a rebuilding year in football with a new head coach. Will has stepped up to be a real leader. Outstanding student, gifted athlete, and a true gentleman- that’s Will Jackson,” says Assistant Principal Karol Warden.
For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Jackson will receive four tickets to a Cincinnati Bengals’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to the Academic All Star links on this web site's home page.
