National Honor Society student is named an Academic All Star
XENIA - Lydia Tillmaand was recently named an Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery. She represents the Dayton area for the month of November. Tillmaand is a 12th grader at Xenia High School.
She is ranked 1st in a class of 300 students, a member of the National Honor Society, Homecoming Queen, member of the Chemistry Club and the Vocal Ensemble. Tillmaand also participates in both track and cross country. She has won awards for sportsmanship and Most Valuable Player.
“Lydia serves as a role model for others. Her ability to excel in academics, athletics, the arts and community volunteering is what we all strive to have our students achieve. Students like Lydia are few in number,” says Assistant Principal, Karol Warden.
For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Tillmaand will receive four tickets to a Dayton Bombers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to the Academic All Star links on this web site's home page.
