Brunswick first-grader honored as Academic All Star
BRUNSWICK... As a first-grader, Brielle Somodi shows none of the timidity you might expect from a youngster new to the academic world. Instead, according to her teacher, Brielle is helpful, cooperative and has excellent work habits. She’s a good citizen who gets along with her peers.
First grade at Walter Kidder Elementary in Brunswick doesn’t seem to faze her at all.
“Brielle accepts responsibility beautifully,” says teacher Gayle Tomson. “She’s very dependable and she takes pride in her work. She has excellent work habits and study skills.”
The Ohio State Lottery is honoring Brielle as the November Academic All Star for the Lorain area. She will receive four tickets to an upcoming Cleveland Cavaliers game, where she will be publicly recognized on the court. She will receive a prize pack of Cavaliers’ merchandise and assorted Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.
The Ohio State Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and for nomination forms, go to www.Ohiolottery.com.
