Student from Canton is recognized by the Ohio Lottery

CANTON—Mija Clanagan is an 8th grade student from Hartford Middle School. She was recently recognized by the Ohio Lottery as an Academic All Star for the month of May. She represents the Akron-Canton area.

According to School Counselor, Michelle Gump-Wilson, Clanagan is a very conscientious worker. She was a participant on the Academic Challenge team for the school. She helps out in the office after school and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. She participated in several extra-curricular activities at the school such as bell choir, drama, chess and Baby Think it Over (a program sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Northeastern Ohio).

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Clanagan will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
