Massillon, Oh—Kareesma Parbhoo is a 6th grade student at Jackson Middle School who has proven herself to be an outstanding student. Parbhoo recently won the Academic All Star award for the month of June from the Ohio Lottery. She represents the Akron/Canton area.

Parbhoo is in accelerated classes and has maintained a 4.0 grade average. She displays leadership qualities and is a member of the Math Club and tournament team. She participated in the Stark County Bar Association Law Day Poster Contest and won 1st place. She is an active member of the community and plays softball . Recently, Parbhoo
donated her hair to Locks of Love.

Her participation in the community, athletics, and in the classroom are worthy of recognition. For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Parbhoo will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Indians’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Lottery.

The Ohio lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year.
