CHILLICOTHE - Maddie Reed is a sixth-grade student at Bishop Flaget School in Chillicothe. She was recently recognized by the Ohio Lottery as an Academic All Star for the month of February. She represents the Columbus area.

Reed is described as a hardworking student who strives for academic excellence. Her writing is said to be “delightful.” She is a super citizen both in and out of the classroom. “What separates Maddie from many children is her strong sense of integrity and purpose. She chooses to do the right thing; she is a real winner,” says Carrie Hill, a teacher at the school.

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Reed will receive four tickets to a Columbus Blue Jackets’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
