MALVERN - Sethin Burrier is a fifth- grade student at Malvern Elementary located in Carroll County. He recently was named an Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery. He represents the Youngstown region.

Sandra Gahan, a reading teacher at the school, describes Burrier as funny and welcoming of challenges. He is a quick thinker and enjoys science experiments and solving codes. He loves music, mysteries and is described by Gahan as an “all around star.” She comments that, “Academically he is above the top, but he does it with class.”

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Burrier will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
