International College Preparatory Academy Student Receives Recognition from the Ohio Lottery

CINCINNATI - Char’Mell Allen was recently named the Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery for the month of February. Allen represents the Cincinnati area. Allen is currently in 7th grade at I.C.P.A. (International College Preparatory Academy) in Hamilton County.

She is described by her teacher, Pernell Shelby, as having a positive attitude. She participates in class and always follows the prompts of the teacher. Shelby describes Allen as “very pleasant” and a school leader.

Allen has participated in both the school drill team as well as cheerleading. “She shows citizenship by being kind to other students and is willing to help them if they do not understand a concept, says Shelby. Shelby says that Allen “is kind, well-rounded, and an intelligent girl.”

For being recognized as Academic All Star, Allen will receive four tickets to a Blue Jackets’ game, a merchandise prize pack from the team, and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise.
