Cardinal Middle School Student Honored as Academic All Star

MIDDLEFIELD - Kourtney Kelly is an 8th grader at Cardinal Middle School in Middlefield. She has recently been recognized as an Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery for the month of December. She represents the Akron-Canton area.

Kelly is the president of the Student Council as well as Captain of the Cheerleading Squad, all while maintaining a 3.76 GPA. Kelly’s teacher Melissa Cardinal says, “She displays a positive attitude, appropriate behavior and is dependable and trustworthy.” Kelly is an active volunteer in her community, spending time in the nursery and youth group of her church as well as taking mission trips throughout the country. She is described as an excellent role model and a pleasure to have in class.

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Kelly will receive four tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
