Beachwood Middle School Student Named Academic All Star

BEACHWOOD - Monica Colmenares is a 6th grade student at Beachwood Middle School. She was recently named an Academic All Star by the Ohio Lottery for the month of December. She represents the Cleveland area.

Colmenares is described as being enthusiastic about her academic work as well as showing a level of excellence in the classroom and outside of it. Jackie Crandall, a teacher at Beachwood Middle School, says that Colmenares is, “extremely conscientious and exhibits other traits by consistently producing quality work in an accurate and timely manner.” Colmenares is said to be enthusiastic about learning and is also very kind and helpful to her teachers and classmates.

For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Colmenares will receive four tickets to a Lake Erie Monsters’ game, recognition at the event, merchandise from the team and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
