In each Semi-Final Game contestants get 3 turns on the game board that features cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $3,200, two ‘double’ squares and one ‘bonus’ square. If a contestant chooses a ‘cash’ square, the amount is added to their game total. If a contestant chooses a ‘double’ square, they get to cycle the game board again and the ‘cash’ square they choose next is doubled. If the contestant chooses another ‘double’ square, they get to cycle the board one more time and the ‘cash’ square they choose next is quadrupled.


Contestants could win up to $12,800 on a single turn!

If a contestant chooses the ‘bonus’ square, they receive the promotional prize associated with that square. The current Bonus prize on Cash Explosion Double Play is $25,000.

The contestant with the highest dollar amount at the end of each Semi-Final Game is the winner of the Semi-Final Game, their total dollar amount is doubled, and they advance to the championship game to face the returning champion, if there is one.

The winner of the championship game exchanges their Semi-Final Game winnings for $50,000 and is given the opportunity to return the following week to try and double their winnings to $100,000. If successful, the winner gets to return a third time to try for the Show’s top prize of $200,000.
