COMMISSIONERS

Jaladah Aslam
of Youngstown was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission for a term ending August 1, 2010. Ms. Aslam serves as Staff Representative for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 8. Ms. Aslam serves as President of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus' Youngstown-Warren chapter, and as Labor Relations Vice Chair of the Mahoning County Democratic Party. She is a member of the Mahoning-Trumbull AFL-CIO Executive Board, the NAACP and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. A Youngstown city school graduate, Ms. Aslam holds a degree in Applied Science from Youngstown State University.

Otto Beatty III
of Columbus, was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission in March 2008, for a term ending August 1, 2010. Mr. Beatty graduated cum laude from Morehouse College and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Currently, Mr. Beatty is co-owner of E.E. Ward Moving & Storage of Columbus. Previously, he was a partner in the law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP, and served as a judicial law clerk and staff attorney to the Honorable Peggy L. Bryant in the Ohio Court of Appeals, 10th District.

Paul M. Burens
of Bay Village was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission for a term ending August 1, 2011. Mr. Burens holds a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences from John Carroll University. Currently Mr. Burens is employed by the Cuyahoga County Department of Child & Family Services.

Erskine E. Cade
of Cleveland, in Cuyahoga County, was re-appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission on October 6, 2008, for a term ending August 1, 2011. Mr. Cade is Senior Vice President and Director of Government Relations for KeyCorp. He received his B.A. degree from Case Western Reserve University.

Matthew Cox
of Avon was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission for a term ending Aug. 1, 2011. Mr. Cox is an attorney for Tucker, Ellis & West LLP. He received his B.A. from John Carroll University and his Juris Doctor from the Cleveland State University College of Law. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the United Cerebral Palsy Center of Greater Cleveland and School Choice Ohio. He is also a board mamber of the Cleveland YMCA. He lives in Avon with his wife Diane and their two children, Benjamin and Emily.

Allan C. Krulak
of Cleveland was re-appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission on August 21, 2009, for a term ending August 1, 2012. Mr. Krulak, who currently serves as Commission Chair, is Vice President, Director of Community Affairs, for Forest City Enterprises, Inc. A lifelong Cleveland-area resident, Mr. Krulak attended Ohio State University, Mexico City College and Marquette University.

Patrick McDonald
of Columbus, was re-appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission on August 21, 2009, for a term ending August 1, 2012, and currently serves as the Commission’s Vice Chair. Mr. McDonald holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Dayton. Mr. McDonald is a former Deputy State Treasurer in the Ohio Treasurer of State Office and is Deputy Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

William Morgan
of Stoutsville, was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission for a term ending August 1, 2012. Mr. Morgan previously served as the executive director of Ohio BankPac and the secretary of the Ohio Bankers Association’s Service Corporation.  He also  served as the senior vice president for the Ohio Bankers Association and as the mayor for the City of Shawnee.   He currently serves as the treasurer of the James A. Rhodes Leadership Foundation and as the executive director of the Ohio Rural Development Partnership

Rudy M. Stralka

of Garfield Heights was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission for a term ending August 1, 2010.  Mr. Stralka is an Assistant Professor at Cuyahoga Community College’s School of Business Administration and specializes in the field of strategic and transitional management within the public sector. Mr. Stralka holds an M.B.A. from Baldwin Wallace College, along with post graduate work in Organizational Leadership at North Central University.

Ohio Lottery Commission meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at the Frank J. Lausche State Office Building 615 W. Superior Ave. Cleveland, Ohio, 4th Floor coference room. (Date and times are subject to change).
