Anna The Ohio Lottery presented a Top Prize Drawing (TPD) winner with a check for $1 million dollars on March 3, in a surprise meeting at the retailer. Kimberly Vetter, 47, of Wapakoneta, came to the retailer where she bought her Magnificent Millions ticket last June because she thought she would tell others about the suspense of being in a Top Prize Drawing.
Instead, she was informed that the drawing had already happened and that, indeed, she was the winner. Local TV crews were at GasAmerica on E. Main St. in Anna to catch her surprised reaction.

When Vetter purchased her original ticket, it revealed that she was a TPD entrant. Her immediate cash prize was $2,000. But for the drawing, she’d have to wait until the game closed … turns out that was eight months, but it was worth the wait. Vetter can choose an annuity of 20 annual payments of $50,000 or a lump sum payment of $500,000 before taxes. Either way, she is responsible for federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent.
