Top Prize Drawing Winner

MANSFIELD – Ruth Conley lives in Tiro and works in nearby Mansfield at a Meijer store. Sometimes she buys Ohio Lottery tickets there. Conley was enjoying a normal day at work, although lamenting that she had to work on her 60th birthday.

The Ohio Lottery took care of that part. Conley was at work when Lottery official Allison Turner staged a phony interview with finalists in a $100,000 Top Prize Drawing for the Strike It Rich game. Conley knew she was a finalist in the drawing and had agreed to participate in the interview. During the interview, Turner surprised Conley with a personalized oversized check for $100,000.

Conley purchased her $5 Strike It Rich ticket in January of 2007 at the Meijer store where she works. When she made the claim for $1,000, she was entered into the Top Prize Drawing.
