Solon Woman Claims $1 Million Multi-State Millions Raffle Prize

CLEVELAND - Peggy Savoca of Solon is a big Rolling Cash 5 fan. She plays it every day, and she loves watching the drawings each night. But it was the Multi-State Millions Raffle drawing on November 1, 2013 that left her holding a $1 million prize.

Peggy’s ticket, #42167, was one of three drawn in the Multi-State Millions Raffle on November 1, 2013. The raffle, which had three $1 million prizes, included tickets sold in seven states including New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Oklahoma, Indiana, Iowa and Ohio. The other two winning tickets were sold in Michigan and New Jersey.

Peggy bought three Multi-State Millions Raffle tickets at three different locations. She said her daughter does much of the shopping for her, so she asked her to pick one up. The ticket her daughter purchased at the Giant Eagle Marketplace in Solon ended up being the lucky one.

“It’s really strange, but I had a good feeling about it because there are so many bad things that have happened to us in the last two years, I kept saying we’re due for something good!” Peggy said.

After state and federal taxes, Peggy receives $710,000. She said she’s splitting the money with her daughter, and she plans to make it a nice Christmas for the rest of her family.
