3rd $1,000 New Year's Raffle Prize Claimed

COLUMBUS – A resident of Mt. Vernon is not new to winning a million when it comes to playing Ohio Lottery games. Bruce Klotzle of Mt. Vernon, Ohio is the third to claim one of four $1 million top prizes in the Ohio Lottery’s 2013 New Year’s Raffle. Klotzle won $1 million on an instant game in July 2004, and he also won thousands after playing with a group on Rolling Cash 5.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent, Klotzle receives $710,000. He purchased the winning ticket at Bullocks 5 Point Wine Shoppe, 701 N Main Street in Mount Vernon. Bullocks 5 Pointe Shoppe receives a $5,000 agent sales bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.

The New Year’s Raffle game offered 3,334 total prizes, with the Ohio Lottery drawing four $1 million prizes, ten prizes of $10,000, 120 prizes of $1,500, 1,000 prizes of $500 and 2,200 prizes of $100. Customers can claim New Year’s Raffle prizes at the Lottery’s downtown Cleveland headquarters or at any one of its nine regional offices. The $500 and $100 prizes can be cashed at any licensed Ohio Lottery retailer. Players have 180 days from the draw date to make their claim.
