IRONTON – Billy Akers, of Ironton received a wonderful holiday gift as the holder of one of two jackpot tickets sold in the Ohio Lottery’s Dec. 20 Rolling Cash 5 drawing. Mr. Akers made his claim yesterday at the Ohio Lottery’s Athens regional office. Each ticket splits the $110,000 jackpot prize.
After federal and state tax withholdings, Akers will receive a check for approximately $39,050.
He purchased his winning ticket at Park Avenue Drive Thru, located at 772 Park Avenue in Ironton. The store receives a $500 sales bonus. The second jackpot-winning ticket, sold by a Circle K in Fostoria, has not been claimed.
