$260,000 Claimed in Columbus

COLUMBUS
– Two players of Ohio Lottery games have filed claims for winnings in the Columbus regional office. Lawanda K. Taylor of Mansfield won $10,000 on Blackout Bingo. Erwin Grabisna of Dublin won $250,000 for matching five numbers and no mega ball in the March 20, 2012 Mega Millions’ drawing.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld, Taylor receives $6,900. Grabisna receives $172,500.

Grabisna purchased the second-tier prize winning ticket from Country Carryout, 35 N. Liberty Street in Powell. He picked the numbers. The winning numbers were 1-4-6-11-14. The mega ball number was 30. Country Carryout received a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket. Not a stranger to selling winners, Country Carryout sold a $250,000 Mega Millions’ ticket on September 16, 2005.
