The Family Secret

CANTON – Members of the Taylor Family of Canton can keep a secret. The family along with Ohio Lottery representatives surprised Pamela Taylor at her home with a $100,000 check after she became the top prize winner on the Ohio Lottery’s Wintergreen instant game.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Taylor receives a check for $69,000. She will pay off a loan, her house that she’s lived in for 32 years and take a trip to Las Vegas.

One of 20 semi-finalists, Taylor purchased the TPD entry ticket from S &K Mini Mart in January 2012. That ticket, worth $5,500 was automatically entered into the drawing that took place on June 4, 2012 at Lottery Central in Cleveland. S&K Mini Mart at 2502 11th St. SW in Canton received a $1,000 selling bonus.
