2nd-tier Prizes Soared as Mega Millions Jackpot Climbed

COLUMBUS – Ten second-tier prize winning tickets were sold in Ohio on March 30, 2012 when the Mega Millions jackpot reached over a half billion dollars. Pannabahen Patel of Westerville won $250,000 for having one of those ten tickets sold in that drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld, Pannabahen receives a check for $172,500.
He purchased the ticket at Meijer Gas, 8872 Columbus Pike in Lewis Center. The numbers were 2-4-23-38-46. The mega ball number was 23. Meijer Gas receives a $1,000 agent sales bonus.
