Splitting a Jackpot

YOUNGSTOWN – A resident of East Liverpool won half of a $130,000 jackpot for having one of two winning tickets that matched all five numbers in an Ohio Lottery on-line game. Brett L. Hambleton won $65,000 for matching all five numbers drawn in the February 27, 2012 Rolling Cash 5.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld, Hambleton receives a check for $44,850.

He purchased the ticket at Four Seasons Mini Mart, 49150 Calcutta & Smith Ferry Roads in East Liverpool. Hambleton picked the numbers. The winning numbers were 3-12-16-26-27. Four Seasons Mini Mart receives a $500 bonus for selling a five-of-five top prize winning ticket.

Countyline One Stop Center at 6098 W. Fremont Rd in Port Clinton sold the other winning ticket. The holder of that ticket picked the numbers. Countyline One Stop Center also receives a $500 agent sales bonus for selling a five-of-five winning ticket.
