NORTH CANTON – It was a happy holiday for Massillon resident Sherman L. Holiday. He won $1,000,000 after matching five of the five Powerball numbers and saying yes to power play in the November 23, 2011 Powerball drawing.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Holiday receives a check for $690,000.
He purchased the ticket from Massillon Mini Mart, 2622 Lincoln Way W in Massillon. He used auto pick. The winning numbers were 4-30-35-57-59. The Powerball number was 25. Massillon Mini Mart receives a $1,000 agent bonus for selling a second-tier prize winning ticket.
