The Others Who Beat the Odds

LOTTERY CENTRAL
- Four players beat the 1:575,757 odds in Sunday’s $188,000 Rolling Cash 5 game. Two claims coming into Lottery Central revealed that David A. Evans of Kent and Juliet Young of Middletown had winning tickets. Each will collect $47,000 for matching all five numbers drawn on October 16, 2011.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld, Evans and Young will each receive $32,430.

Evans purchased the auto pick winning ticket at Giant Eagle, 1280 ST. RT. 303 in Streetsboro. The winning numbers were 3-18-20-29-36. Young picked the numbers on her ticket purchased at Verity Discount Smokes & Carryout, 2233 N. Verity Pkwy in Middletown. Retailers selling a top prize winning Rolling Cash 5 ticket receive a $500 agent bonus.

Mike Gerkin
of Lorain was the first to claim one of the four winning tickets sold in the game. He purchased the auto pick winning ticket from Derby in Lorain. Holder of the fourth winning ticket sold in the game has not claimed. That ticket was purchased at Buckeye Sunoco in Cleveland. The holder of that ticket picked the numbers.
