Investing wisely



ATHENS - It was a wise investment after spending two dollars.  Rodney R. Guess of Nelsonville won $25,000 after he purchased the Ohio Lottery’s Greenline Cashword Doubler instant game.
 
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Guess receives a check for $17,250.
 
He purchased the winning ticket from Nelsonville Pit Stop Drive Thru which is located at 1120 E. Canal Street in Nelsonville.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $17 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Lottery’s fiscal year 2010 transfer to the Lottery Profits for Education Fund was $728.6 million.
