Toledo player wins $150,000

TOLEDO - A resident of Toledo invested wisely after spending five dollars on an Ohio Lottery instant game.  Thomas S. Mitchell won a $150,000 top prize after he scratched Double Sided Dollars.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Mitchell receives a check for   $103,500.

He purchased the winning ticket from Johnny’s On the Spot. Located at 2468 Woodville Road in Oregon, Johnny’s receives a $1,500 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $17 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Ohio Lottery transferred $728.6 million to the Lottery Profits Education Fund in FY10.
