Winning $150,000 in Columbus

COLUMBUS - A resident of Columbus invested wisely after spending five dollars on an Ohio Lottery instant game.  Ronald Ruffin won $150,000, a top prize after he scratched Double Sided Dollars.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Ruffin receives a check for   $103,500.

He purchased the winning ticket from Nishi’s Market.  Located at 6505 E. Livingston Avenue  in Reynoldsburg, Nishi’s Market  receives a $1,500 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has raised more than $17 billion to support K-12 education across Ohio. The Ohio Lottery transferred $728.6 million to the Lottery Profits Education Fund in FY10.
