NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

OHIO LOTTERY COMMISSION HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A NEW ADMINISTRATIVE ON-LINE GAME RULE

Notice is hereby given that the Ohio Lottery Commission intends to adopt a new administrative on-line game rule.  A public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Frank J. Lausche Building, 615 West Superior Avenue 4th floor, Cleveland, Ohio 44113, at 10:00 A.M. in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, (Chapter 119, Ohio Revised Code).  Any person affected by the proposed action may appear and be heard in person, by the person’s attorney, or both; may present person’s position, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing; offer and examine witnesses; and present evidence tending to show that the rule, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable or unlawful.

    The administrative on-line game rule to be considered for approval is 3770:1-9-942, entitled Powerball®.

    The rule to be considered for adoption would govern the play of the on-line multi-state game, Powerball®.  As required by ORC section 3770.03(A) this rule sets forth the type of lottery to be conducted; the price of tickets; the number, nature and value of prize awards; the manner and frequency of prize drawings; and manner in which prizes are awarded to holders of winning tickets.
