The Ohio Lottery Commission was created in 1973 by a vote of the people of Ohio, and the first ticket, “Buckeye 300”, went on sale in 1974. Today, the Ohio Lottery offers a variety of fun and exciting games, including Scratch-Offs, in-state draw games Pick 3, Pick 4,  Pick 5, Rolling Cash 5 and Classic Lotto, and multi-state jackpot games MegaMillions and Powerball, and KENO. We have the longest running lottery TV game show in the country with the Cash Explosion Show airing every Saturday night. The Ohio Lottery oversees the 11,000+ Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) games at Ohio’s seven racinos. 

Since we were established, our mission has been to contribute money to education and over the past 50 years…we have delivered.

One hundred percent of Ohio Lottery profits help support K-12, vocational, and special education proframs in Ohio. Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has provided more than $31 billion to Ohio’s K-12 education programs!
